Word invention
« on: February 01, 2007, 20:33:01 PM »
After the "lead balloon" success of my last Brain-Teaser Post I thought I'd try something different to exercise the collective Forum brain. The following are from a game called Sniglets. The basic idea is to invent a new word from a given definition. Here's two examples:

Definition: Being able to drive and refold a road map at the same time.

Sniglet: Mapadextrous

Definition: The peeling on a Polaroid snapshot.

Sniglet: Polarind

There are of course no right or wrong answers - the fun of the game is that in each round, those playing with you vote for their favourite Sniglet and that one wins the points:

Here are a few to start with - I'll post the games suggestion for each one after a while:

1. The act of entering a room and forgetting why.

2. A person who always tries to go in a door clearly marked out.

3. That draft that prevents a sheet from landing straight on a mattress

4. The fear that the object in the side mirror is much closer than it appears.

5. The erosion of a public figure's credibility.
