The paper boy
« on: March 02, 2007, 08:15:58 AM »
I woke this morning not at all looking forward to the daily grind.

I trudged out before sun up to scrape a good deal of frost off the car.

Whilst I was busy at this, bemoaning my various misfortunes, this menacingly looking paperboy, bedecked in the obligatory hood, passed by.

I instinctively turned to a window which I could scrape without engaging in eye contact with this no-good youngster when he suddenly turned to me  and spoke.

" Good morning" he announced happily "and how are you this morning"

Then as I drove to w***, a perfect sun rose in an almost cloudless sky to bathe the wonderful countryside around me, including the snow covered hills, in beautiful yellow hues. Everything suddenly became covered in that glorious light that we are bless with in this part of the world, the beautiful greens and purples shone and the snow covered hills were this marvellous, almost florescent, pink.

So if you are feeling a bit down early this morning - stick with it -something good will happen at some point in the day.

Have a good one
