What gadget would you like to be able to go to Tesco's and buy off-the-shelf. For me, it's as follows....
A remote control which, when I approach a set of traffic lights that has a cyclist just about to press the pedestrian crossing button, would allow me to influence the lights.
The new gadget would allow me to instantly override the pedestrian crossing function and leave the lights at green so as to allow me to proceed through the crossing without stopping - leaving the alien with the pointy helmet adjusting his crutch area.
And what of the "I'm doing my bit for the environment freedom fighter", sorry cyclist - then I'm sorry mate - get off the pavement (which by the way is for people who want to save the planet and walk), you'll just have to abide by the Highway Code and ride on the road like everyone else.
