Dont lets knock the UK all the time.
« on: April 07, 2007, 17:06:52 PM »
Like everybody else, I worry about the state of the UK and can get depressed reading the daily paper and watching the news.

In spite of all this, there are little moments when I think I 'm glad I live here. This morning, I took my loony dog to the local Roundhay park for a walk .The sun was shining and shimmering off the lake, the sky a brilliant blue  and the newly mown grass smelt better than any expensive aftershave !

There were mums and dads with varying numbers of kids and in most cases the family dog in tow. No hoodies about or any signs of trouble, the only noises were from the ducks and birds or the weird collection of music playing through my I Pod.

Right there and then,  I couldnt think of any where else I would rather have been, a lovely moment frozen in time.

We all knock this country but for me  it's little things like this that restore my faith just a little bit. :)
