Have any CBF members been a victim of fraud on Ebay?

I am an occasional ebayer and so far I've never had a problem. I know a friend who lost over £400 and got little assistance from Ebay, and next to none from the police, even though they had an address for the seller, mobile phone number, and the seller had quite a good history on ebay.

Any stories?
