A Visit to a London Indian Restaurant
« on: April 19, 2007, 22:37:48 PM »
No return to the UK would feel complete without a trip for a traditional English Indian.

Around 7 other exhibitors joined us, so a table for 12 was put together. Eager to get things off to a swift start, the waiter came, pad and pen at the ready to take the drinks order.

"What beer do you have?" I asked, in vain hope of something non-lager.

"We do Cobra" he replied. Then he lent across to the middle of the table, some distance from him and quite a stretch to pick up a small, clear plastic menu which contained details of some other dishes and drinks, not regular, so not featured on the main menu.

As soon as he had slithered back off the table, and regained his balance, he pointed to the very last thing on this little menu.

"We also do this one" he informed us. "But we haven't got any".
