The "I Bought in Turkey & I am Happy I Did" Thread

After more research than I care to remember, including lots from the CBF, we purchased through Lycia properties in Fethyie. The whole thing was as smoth as clockwork, Lycia are a really professional outfit, I cannot praise Katie, Arcan and Sultan enough. We had the Tapu's by the time we completed, all all in took 3 months.

Never regretted buying our apartment, we love getting out as often as we can. 8)

Came across this thread while doing a search for something else, it's a bit of a blast from the past  :)

Where are all these members now (apart from the obvious ones still posting) - they can't all have sold up and gone home, or have they?  Or do they just not "do" forums anymore...?

Loved reading this thread. I didn't join CBF  til 2009 so it was great reading posts prior to then.

Yes, I was going to buy PKHughes apartment, until I saw a hotel was due to be  built at the back. Wouldn't have had any views at all. There was also the ridiculous £1000 a year maintenance fees..so no regrets there. That was in 2013/2014.

Dunno it had a big sign up at back in land with proposed building. They already had a house built so close you could shake hands with neighbour to left.

I remember Cenk telling a buyer that the land adjacent to a property he was going to buy (with a different agent) was tourism land, and if he bought there he might end up with a hotel right next to him.

The customer thought it was Cenk trying to stop him from buying from a rival agent but Cenk knows his city plan - the customer now lives in the shadow of the Nevada Su hotel...
