We originally planned to go out on 5th April via Onur air from Birmingham to Dalaman for a week but needed to cancel. At 7.30pm on the 4th March we called Aegean(they close at 8pm) to ask what our options were. We were told that there were only two: Lose our money or change flights to another date and pay £20 per person to do so. We did the latter although we would have preferred a refund.
Two days later we received a letter from Aegean saying that the Birmingham flight had been cancelled and we were offered a flight from manchester on a different day or a full refund. The letter was dated 4th March (the same date that we had called them in the evening). We were annoyed at this as this had never been mentioned to us.
However, believe it or not, upon ringing them we were told that they made the decision to cancel the flight that evening AFTER WE CALLED THEM. We were then told that the only way to resolve would be to put it in writing and email them. We did this and no reply.
Really annoyed at this as we are regular flyers with Onur and last year booked 4 return flights with them and a three with Onur the year before.
