Sunblind for Veranda
« on: October 24, 2008, 15:58:26 PM »
We recently had sun blinds made for our veranda.  They are thick material, they wind down using a handle, then are clipped to rings to stop them flapping about.  We are very pleased with the fitting and the quality of the blinds.  The company is Güngör Branda.  They are located on the Gunlukbasi Road (Adnan Mendered Bulv.), close to the otogar roundabout.

They have a website too http://www.gungorbranda.com/?lisandegistir=ingilizce

2 things....

Haven't taken any, yet,

and...

Not sure how to put pikkies on our website.

The good news is I am going to get some website training this coming week from son and then brace yourselves because pikkies will be available.

Gawd, no pressure then.

Maybe I should explain, there are two small blinds.  It isnt exactly a Millenium Dome jobby.  But we are pleased with them.

I am sure you could get cheaper versions.  Like having the sale material but not the mechanism, which I assume was the dearest bit.  Outside shops in Fethiye they hook the material up outside the shops and tie the bottom edge to the ground by strings.

This shop does the stuff that zips into place like Mustapha's used to have at Cadianda 1.  I recon that'd be a better dust reducer than what we have just had done.  ~Because of the mechanism, the blind hangs away from the posts by about 3".  They're very nice people, it might be an idea to go get a quote.  Then as you leave the shop, if you turn right go across the roundabout and up towards Tasyaka there's a little place on the left about 1/4 mile up (if that) that friends used and were happy.

Also a place in Fethiye that we used called Ege Branda. On Olu Deniz road past the Otogar and opposite the vegetable warehouse places. Can recommend highly, also two of our friends have used them and been pleased.

Ege Branda are much cheaper than the company in Tasyaka We are very pleased with ours. They are stapled at the top to keep the rain out.
