Hi baba i think it is the 30 may? it was the 6 of June last year, but i think it got put back for some reason, from the 30 may.

The carinval date is defo 30th May - we have friends up there and arrive the night before.

Is carnival still on 30 May?

What happens at the carnival and what time is it on - does anybody know please?

It still seems to be a big secret here,I have asked on the local forum for Hisaronu and still had no reply.Last year there was a Miss Hisaronu Competion several different acts,and finished with Boney M probably a tribute band and I thinked mimed all the way through,but they had H rocking and it was a really good night.I have even asked the guy who compered last year and he knows nothing either.Hopefully we will be having a carnival this year.

Last year was very good and it was the real Boney-M (part of the original group). Not heard anything about this year but i'm up there this weekend so i'll ask around.

OK......

Sorry it's taken a while to answer but i haven't found anything conclusive!!

Spoke to several bar owners and nothing has been sorted.

There has been a meeting of bar owners regarding the carnival and they're now waiting for input from the belediye. The long and short of it is that the belediye has not made a commitment to pay and the bar owners don't seem too interested if the belediye is not paying. (from what i can gether)

If it happens it will be the 30th May but with so little time left and nothing planned i (personally) am not holding out much hope. Saying that - miracles do happen and lots of things in Turkey get left to the last minute so you never know.

I'm back in Hisaronu this weekend again so i'll post an update if i find more information.
