Its a long drive away Yakamoz, about 13 hours allowing for breaks. I think you can get a coach to Nevershir but god knows how long that takes. I don't think flying is an option, you could go to Ankara but then its still a fair way from there and taking into account the hanging around before the plane departs, you could be well on the way by car and enjoying some of the spectacular scenery along the way. Whatever way you get there, enjoy it because it is pretty spectacular.

Coach from Fethiye Otogar is 12 hours overnight. Leaves about 4pm arrives at 4am in Capadoccia. Costs about 70tl each way. Stops for food break and wee breaks. Coach has refreshment facility on board, i.e a chap with coffee, tea ,water fruit juice and cakes free of charge, no toilet on board. A very special place. A walkers paradise.

Does the bus stop in different towns in Capadoccia?  Is it a seasonal place, ie, are hotels open year-round or just in summer?

Cappadocia is the region the buses stop in Goreme. Taxi or local transport to all the many places within Cappadocia is easy. Summmer is very busy, best time to visit is said to be spring time for the greenery and flowers. Hot Air Ballon is superb in spring the link Company has superb pilots and not the up and down variety, up travel a good area before coming down, enjoy the Champers Brekky.  http://www.kapadokyaballoons.com/en/4/About%20Us.html Tours are available to all the sights car hire gives you the real freedom to see it all.    Some hotels are open all year expect some snow in winter.

Strongly recommend DK Eyewitness Travel Guide TURKEY.

But take a coat in the spring it can be cold. Also sensible footwear. I spent 4 days there and would go back again. I stayed in Gorme lots of good hotels and backpacker hostels.

There are 26 hotels and cave hotels listed at Goreme/Cappadocia on the hotel price comparison website I mentioned - Sletoh (stupid name, it's hotels back to front :-\ )

Anyway, www.sletoh.co.uk

If you do not prefer a Hotel and want to have a real feel for the place there are some very good pansiyons too. See link to a rather special one built into the Uchihar Castle. Family run and they will organize most activities even escorted trips to the eastern area. Sisik is the man.
