Just had a email from Tom who went back to the UK last week.He'd been to Rhodes and renewed his visa in plenty of time but when he got to the airport he was fined and told he couldnt come back to Turkey for 90 days.He went to the Turkish Consulate in London today and was told that you cant go out of the country for one day to renew your visa anymore.A bit worrying for those who have just done this dont you think.Has anyone else suffered in this way recently?

My Mrs flew from Dalaman on Monday and had no problems and we renewed the visas last month too from Meis.

I'll move this out of banks and into visa what with it having nothing to do with banks and lots to do with visas.

We need to renew visa by 22nd of the month and now debating running around doing residency as really worried by this but dont really have time.
Need to make a decision today whether to book visa run or panic!
Seems weird there's nothing online anywhere about this.
Are you sure you have the story 100 % right?
Sorry to doubt you but this is serious stuff if its true.

Still dont understand this post - how can someone be fined on the way out of the country with a valid visa and told they cant come back in for 90 days? We did ours last month 14th Oct in Kas, my Mrs went to UK mon 7th Nov and although she said they took a good look at her visa and passport nothing was said and she went through ok. The visa is one of the 90 day ones and not that 180 day one that some people got a while back. So could someone clarify whats going on - are we all going to have to dash out and get residency now???
