Daughter number 2 announced on Christmas Eve that she's getting married on Jan 14th  :o :o. She doesn't do things by half measures!!!!!!
Just back from a very busy, packed late night shopping trip in Glasgow, where I got my outfit within an hour and a half of getting there, held the bag as close to my body as I could in case I did the same as peecee's daughter. Went for some tapas and a cheeky wee rioja, but the poor waiter's face was a picture when I hugged the bag tightly, refusing his insistance 3 or 4 times, to "hang it up beside my coat".......no chance!!!.
:D

I understand that Mrs Harvey ma'am but where I have a difficulty grasping things is that it is a bag. BAG: A container of flexible material with an opening at the top, used for carrying things. Something bought to more easily carry stuff, usually stuff that should have been sorted and mostly dumped. A £1000 bag is about as good an investment as a Prada wheelbarrow.

Wrong, a designer bag is an investment, which can make more money in future.  Take the Hermes bags one of which made £14,000 at Auction recently.  There are many websites and shops selling secondhand designer bags the secondary market for designer bags and even designer shoes is booming.

Ouch!!!
I adore handbags but I could never afford to pay or justify paying a huge amount for a bag.
However, I'm not sure I would if I could!

As it said recently in one of the Antique Magazine publications a lot of smart money is now going into designer clothes, bags and shoes as it's better than money in the Bank.  Perhaps the idiots with money are putting it into their banks!!
There is a woman called Kerry Taylor who now holds Auctions of designer clothes in London and gets bids from all over the world.

Thanks for that Toky, will pass it on to my daughter.
There was a woman in N.Y. a few years ago called Ina she started a secondhand designer shop, she now has nine shops in N.Y. Including a man's shop.  I would not go to N.Y. without visiting Ina's and it's not just for ordinary folk so many famous people go to her shops including Sarah Jessica Parker.  My daughter and I where in the man's shop and Mark Wahlberg was visiting to browse apparently, according to the assistant, he is a regular customer.
It seems that these secondary market Designer Shops are becoming big business and seem to be spring up everywhere.
