I had the same, and a real problem sourcing the back up battery over there. In fact, it was so difficult that the solution I went with was to sell the house.

Mine is a Yale system I brought over from the UK after 4 years the back up battery was not holding charge I rang their customer services to buy one, they sent me one free of charge to my UK address, not much help unless yours is Yale.

I spent hours trawling round Fethiye one day last year for one. The only ones I could get were either too low powered or too big to fit in the alarm panel.
In the end I brought one over from the UK.
I went to loads of electronic shops, electric shops and alarm shops. I think that they are just not available over there in the power that is required.

C1 - might be worth posting a picture of it on here - you never know someone may have a similar item stashed away somewhere.

Thanks for all the help I solved the problem of the battery, I to had the Yale system which I wasn't to impressed with and have now got fitted a swipe disc system fully fitted, works really well. I can now sleep easier at night.
