« on: April 17, 2017, 17:11:44 PM »
Sunday morning myself and grandchildren  twin girls and George were going out to Manchester and going through the last scanners jasmine was stopped with her rucksack and the lady custom officer started to search her bag  and started pulling beach stones out of the bag 30 in all unbeknown to me i did not know she had them.
the custom officer said no stones are to come out of turkey very nicely and jasmine said but i want them for my stone collection, and started to cry,by this time there was a few custom officers all started discussing these stones, they let her take 2 but god help anyone who takes anything of value.

I have read this before not sure it was here or on another Turkish Forum.  Someone else was saying they had souvenir pebbles taken from their hand luggage at Dalaman and got told off.

If anyone is interested we have a whole pile of pink granite stones at the back of our place, free to take away..

Yes that was us - our daughter had found a red, heart shaped stone on the beach and it was removed at Dalaman.
