my flight with TC has been cancelled from manchester n 12th july, the new flight dates don't suit so I'm going to ask for a refund, do you think easy jet or monarch would be the better option, just worried its going to happen again before july, due to the villa being booked, are dates art flexible

It's a tough time - just keep reading the other posts about flights on here and it may help you decide.  I'm in limbo too.  My Monarch flights OK at the moment but who knows?

Easyjet would be the better bet - they aren't anywhere near as likely to cancel their flights.

Personally i would choose Easyjet, Monarch have started pulling their Dalaman fkights, quute a few people were posting on facebook yesterday about Monarch, my cousin has had her Monarch flight for October changed they want her to fly from one airport and come back to another...
We are booked with Easyjet fingers crossed no changes as of yet..
Good luck in deciding  8)

I got an email yesterday from Thomson headed "important information about your flights", and thought they had cancelled our flights from Bournemouth to Dalaman on 10 June.  Luckily for us they have just adjusted the timing by 1/2 hour.  So, I think we got off lightly.  Calis Beach here we come.

+1
They are proper scheduled flights rather than charter so they don't change so much.

From Manchester it may also be worth looking at Jet2, again they are scheduled & the flight times are better than Easyjet

Thanks guys, I called and asked for a refund, I've rebooked with easy jet as you suggested. Any idea how long the refund takes? I've heard people waiting 5 weeks, I really need it back ASAP to cover my new flights. Also I had no confirmation of cancellation but if I go online it no longer lets me log into my booking. So they have cancelled ok I'm presuming?

Our Monarch flight is still OK but I'm half expecting them to consolidate the flights due to lack of custom. It's not a real problem for us as we are retired and have our own place but I really feel for those who have to work and book in advance.

More worrying is all the trouble out there at the moment. We don't want to cancel but if things get worse we might just consider it.
