Our June 2017 visit generally
« on: June 25, 2017, 17:58:09 PM »
Fairly routine Calis visit for us – not doing very much – just chilling out.

However, the fortnight was peppered with special occasions but did have one very, very disappointing issue.

The special occasions were, as always, all associated with people.

Meeting the lovely lotty for lunch one afternoon and then again for dinner with her in the wonderful company of Chrissie and Peter (ex 3C’s). Splendid evening with wine flowing freely.

Dinner one evening with our good friend Martha McGinn (who emigrated to Calis from Dingwall three years ago) and Andy .Somers.

Sharing a boat trip with Chris and Pete Souster – Letoners from way back.

Meeting up with badger and the gorgeous mrs bager and their son at a “Rod” night.

All of the above were planned events but as we usually find that some of the best nights are the unplanned ones. So it was in Joseph’s bar when I noticed Abby and Nick Marsh (late of this parish) and Lindsay and Bill also lapsed CBFer’s

Our paths also crossed those of liz101, maria, bluecad, and usedbustickets (now there is a name from the past). Apologies if I have missed anyone.

More boring specifiy observations/memories (and photos) to follow.

So, what was the "very, very disappointing issue" ? Or haven't the doctors given you a diagnosis yet ?   ;)

scunner and KKOB

I hope you don't mind too much but I can't really give specifics.

Suffice to say that it upset me greatly at the time and continues to do so.

I would have hoped that the matter might have been "resolved" by now but I am afraid not and it continues to rankle.

PS My sincere apologies to lbueclad for the typo   ;)

Curiouser and curiouser.

H - you introduced the "very disappointing issue".

A problem shared etc.

Maybe a clever person can help.

Don't leave us in suspenders!

stuartT/kevin3 - I really can't give specifics and I won't.

I only mentioned it in the initial post because it was a part of our holiday and did upset me.
