Why is it that sometimes, when you press the like button too hard, you seem to like the previous topic 3 times. I have just tried to like the previous post 3 times, but it keeps unliking itself. I wish to put on record that I like the previous post as many times as possible!  ??? ??? ???

A great idea John. There must be some great photos on the CBF photographs page. However there are lots of things to consider. Firstly it does cost a lot to produce (Liz could give an idea of the latest printing costs in Fethiye,  not sure about the costs in UK). The smaller the print run the costlier they work out to produce so not only would that amount have to be raised but it does take a lot of time and hard work to get the art work done and then there is the logistics of distribution so not easy and not sure how it would work even if Keith was agreeable to the plan.

Anyone any idea of the size of the print run in previous years?

I'd be happy to put towards it.

If the decision's been made then so be it.

If it's a no go for this year then I'll contribute now for next.

However, if we can do it for this year, let us know what's needed.

Received.

I suppose the first question to ask is would 3C's have an issue with a one off CBF calendar and if not would they help distribute it via their outlets?

It's just a pity they didn't highlight the fact there was a sponsorship issue on here before the decision was made to cancel this years calendar.  I'm sure we could have helped.

Sad news indeed. I looked forward to see which photos had been selected for the final print run. I had no idea that funding had deteriorated so much.

Usually the print run is a 1,000.  Foot soldiers and transport needed too, for distributing the calendars to various locations....

That's where any, one off, alternative is likely to fall down unfortunately.

For it to have any chance of success it needs someone on the ground (e.g. Fethiye/Calis area) to take the idea and run with it.  I suspect funding the print run wouldn't be an issue, it's the distribution that'd be the problem - I know the 3C's work extremely hard to ensure each annual calendar is a success.

Any takers?
