Buying "beats" in Calis
« on: October 23, 2017, 20:14:07 PM »
Or anywhere else over there really - just some info.

A friend asked us to get some for him so we shopped around and when we found some, got the guy in the shop to play some music through them.  They sounded really good.  They are the type that takes an SD card.
Here's the rub -
Our friend put his SD card in (with hundreds of tracks on he had painstakingly chosen) and it just dropped into the headset!  No card holder/reader - just a slot
He can't get it out without breaking them.
So, if you are tempted to buy any - check them more carefully than we did :o

All the so called "Beats" products and other well known electronic brand names are just cheap knock offs. With poor quality builds and components. If you just want a cheap pair of headphones, fine, otherwise leave well alone....

I agree there.  I wouldn't have bought them for myself.

My daughters both bought them and I was really surprised by the quality of the sound - sadly the build quality did for them not too long after.

I did the same some years ago, bought them for grandkids. When they opened the sealed boxes it was just the cardboard cut out inside and the plastic holder. You live n learn.
