We adore the Turkish pickled garlic - who gives a damn how we smell ?! :o I have attempted to make this several ways, but have never come across a reliable recipe. One batch even turned bluey green ! Any one know how it should be done ?

Ingredients
225g garlic ,peeled
1 large red pepper finely chopped
475 ml distilled white vinigar
130 g white sugar
2 g ground dry mustard
1 g celery seed
place the garlic clves in a bowl mix in th red pepper
In a large sauce pan on medium heat add white vinigar and sugar .wrap dry mustard and celery seeds in spice bag and place in liquid,bring to boil for five mins stir in garlic and pepper ,continue boiling for five mins ,remove from heat and discard spice bag.
fill sterile container to an inch of top and fill with the liquid ,seal and store in fridge for three weeks befor serving
