Title: Would you buy property at a Beauty Shop?
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on June 24, 2011, 11:17:53 AM
If anyone is thinking of buying a property go to known and respected estate agent.

Watched a Manager of a beauty shop talking to a woman who was getting a treatment, then her husband got involved in the conversation they said would like to buy a property. The guy immediately got them a brochure of new property. The couple looked at the brochure and were told the price. They said it was too much so the guy asked them how much they wanted to spend.. No more than £55,000 he was told.

More brochures where brought out. Then the owner of the shop appeared. The couple where then given an intensive talk and had drinks brought to them. They were offered a car to view the property immediately, they declined however, after more talk they agreed to be picked up at 3.00pm that afternoon from their Hotel.

It seems that when on holiday all common sense goes out of the window. :o Would we go to a beauty shop in the U.K. and seriously consider buying a property through them[?]?

One of the greatest disappointments of real estate in Turkey for me was being unable to work out what was more evident - the tricks of some of the developers, or the absolute stupidity of some of the customers.

A point made by Scunner in a previous topic about buying property was the benefits of using an agent, and that a good agent should still be able to help you with any problems after the sale has been completed - I wonder what back up the Beauty shop would give the buyer.
