After owning a villa for 11years in koca calis and being in and around the area for 18years although first came to turkey 30years ago i only found this little gem of a place this year.Sandy beach free sunbeds very nice owners quite lovely location with a sandy beach pine forest next to it 5lira picnic area entrance fee. From carreta beach via right along the dirt road and follow the road all the way along and you will come to this place, you can also camp there, but the road is very bumpy.Or if you walk along the beach in the direction of yaniklar past carreta beach bar you can get to it that way. Also, you can access this place along the dalaman road towards yaniklar and turn off when you see the mobile kofte van its the road that runs to the complex that has all the white villas on well worth a visit. The owner speaks excellent english and you can eat and drink there it must be lovely there at night when its all lit up,check this place out and see what one makes of it.

will do! will be in Ciftlik on Thursday, Katranchi beach is also lovely
further along the coast - need the car or dolmus to reach it

We had a very bumpy bike ride to there in May.

Is this not Kargi Beach, where, until cleaned and organised two years ago the main attraction was the guy who cooked whole chickens in a can on the beach, really rustic and incredible value, his shack was pulled down during the revamp.
Does anyone know if he's back?
-
I'm not at all sure where you mean, micky.
Is it between Caretta beach and Tuana?
And I'd love it if the chicken man was there, George, sounds awesome. :D
-
Yes it is,if you was sitting at caretta beach look right towards the pine trees that you can see at the other end of the beach and it lays back on the right just walk along the beach and you will come to it.

Another one to try in a few weeks time, always like a good wal along. The beach from Calis, and sounds like this is :)
-
Yep, this is definitely added to the list of 'things to do when in Calis in Sept'.
Thank you for the suggestion and directions, micky. :)

I think this is the place - although the photo was taken at the end of last season...

So is this much further along from Surf Café ?
-
Kargi Beach is probably a good 45-60 minutes walk from the Surf cafe without shade, walk it if you like, but better on a bike
