Ok, I'm not really familiar with the etiquette of discussion forums so not sure what you mean by "genuine welcome", Scunner. Perhaps you can explain?

It's been really interesting to me to dip into the topics  and i'm sure I've only skimmed the surface. Is there a quick guide? Where/what is the Forum bar? What other things do members feel are essential knowledge? I've read a lot of posts about Eren Spot (my original question about furnishing our appartment) Are there other shops that members recomend/don't recomend? I looked at the Eren Spot website but it didn't seem to be that recent.

many thanks

Jac

Hi Jac,

Not directed at you  :)

I was making the point that the practice employed by some members, to make 8 or 9 welcome replies to the last 8 or 9 new members in one swift go, may come across as more genuine a welcome if they took enough interest in the new member to read the thread first.

If they did so, they would have seen they had already welcomed you five days previously.

Welcome, by the way  ;)
