restaurant near the tombs

We have been recommended to try a restaurant in Fethiye that is "somewhere near the lycian tombs" and has the word "king" or something similar in the name???? Has anyone any ideas which one it may be, and whereabouts it is.  Apparantly it is lovely, and has stunning views, but we have no idea.  Many thanks.

I think you may mean Kings Garden. People we know have been there but my understanding is that you go for the stunning views, the food is nothing to shout about.

We went into the restaurant for a drink after climbing the many steps to the tombs. Fabulous views, but would not do again...i don't like heights....but i would do the walk up and have a drink in the restaurant, there was also a couple of guys who had stalls with jewellery, shawls and other nic nacs, not bad prices....nice to while away a few hours.

we  went last august, the owner was touting for trade on olu deniz beach, we decided to give it a go, the guy laid on a taxi to pick us up from valletta, near pelin hotel,
took us to the restaurant, persuaded us "to do the steps" to buy hima bit of time, had a nice meal without being  anything special, the overpowering memory was though of
it being extremely hot and uncomfortable, with loads of mozzies about.  Overall the value for money with transfers was excellent  but it certainly wasn't the special meal and experience we had hoped for!!

Scunner,
Probably in the wrong forum, but what the ......  How about a grading system for Bar and Restaurant reviews to make choosing a little bit easier.  Either 1-5 or 1-10, 1 being don't touch with a barge pole, food poisoning etc to 5/10 extremely romantic/value for money/excellent service/fantastic atmosphere etc.
Just a thought, what do others think?

Only visited once Excellent views of Fethiye food mediocre.  They had a BOGOF offer on cocktails but had to use a book to see how to make it. If they did not have an ingredient they used a substitute....result also mediocre.  :(

Went with eight friends there thanks to a recommendation, a couple of weeks ago - big mistake!!  One starter eventually turned up after all of the rest were finished. Of the main courses (when they eventually arrived almost 2 hours after ordering)half of us found them virtually inedible. Had a quiet word with the waiter, who said that the usual chef was sick so someone else was doing the cooking. Agreed that those who couldn't eat the meal would not pay for that course. To be honest, the views are wonderful, as others have already stated, but what we hoped to be a special night was ruined. Not to be recommended, at least by us. Cathy

We were taken here by friends and had a very pleasent evening, mushrooms to start, nice garlic bread, we had pre- ordered the lamb dish, very nice. Views good, the food was OK to good. Worth a visit & they will pick you up. We didn't bother with the steps up to the tomb, has another bottle of wine instead!

Was there last week, nothing to shout about, Kings Garden if i rem correctly, food was below average, was not impressed, if you want something different try the Sundial, they will pick up and drop off, everything about the place is superb.
