Great stuff. See the writing at the bottom of picture 1 - Fethiye was known as Macri up until 1923 when the population exchange took place between Greece & Turkey.
But then I read that in 1914 the council of the municipality changed the name of Megri to Fethiye in honour of fethi bey, the first turkish air force pilot who crashed and died.
And on top of the conflicting dates I'm sure at some the region was known as Megri??
