Turkish delight factory?
« on: July 30, 2010, 13:22:12 PM »
Presumably there are are some local or local-ish Turkish delight factories around Fethiye?

My kids love the stuff (not so keen myself) and wondered if it was worth taking them to see how it is made - might put them off course !!  No bad thing then:D

Any suggestions?

There is a Council run shop that sells Turkish delight in Paspatur it's the entrance where the pedestrian crossing is, the shop is just up on the right next to a shop called Saman.  We always buy our Turkish delight there, it's always fresh and the shop is very clean.  The man that runs the shop along with his daughter speaks very good English.  I am sure if you went in and asked him he might be able to arrange something for you.  Don't confuse this shop with the big Turkish delight shop in the middle of Paspatur where the stuff lies in the sun all day and the guys drag you in to buy.

Thanks for the replies.  I have a car, so if anyone else knows of any good ones to go to further afield then any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
