doubletwo will correct me if I am wrong, but he is posting about a day out NOT a villa purchase.

Nobody thought they did John. The point is that there must be a reason why properties are so expensive in Gocek, and if we ever discover what it is, we might love it too. For now, we don't :D

The price of a villa in Calis is not a gauge of whether or not it is worth a visit.

We enjoyed our recent visit to Gocek and, despite the property prices, I'm sure that most other people would:D

The price of a villa should give an indication of the quality of the location. Except when it comes to Gocek. It really is a simple concept H :D

We are clearly way off topic and "simple concepts" are certainly all I can manage at this later hour.

To be continued, Yes ?

Gocek is a good day out and the Sunday boat trip is, in my opinion, excellent value for money.  You get a good sail, a couple of hours in a different environment and if you want to be nosey (and family visiting are always "interested" lol) you can look around the many, many properties for sale.

I mention at the start of the thread that I understood that certain  boats now go to Gocek.

janmack if this is correct it might be ueful information for doubletwo to have.

I assume there are no houseboats. ;)
