Top of Babadag Mountain
« on: August 24, 2011, 20:55:45 PM »
We took a trip to the top of Babadag this year after spending the last 14 years wondering what was up there. The journey to the top was a bit scarey but well worth it when we got out of the car and saw the fantastic view. The fireman who lives at the top was very friendley and gave us a hot drink and let is use his binoculars to look down at Fethie and Olu Deniz. It was also interesting watching the paragliders take off. If you are at a loose end one morning I would highly recomend a trip up the mountain, we enjoyed it so much we sent a couple of beers up to the fireman the next day, to say thank you for his hospitality.

Ive driven up there a few times his summer with friends and family.
its 18km from the Ovacik top road to the top of Babadag .. probably 25 minutes to drive up.
The views are fantastic and the road is quite good, some of it is block paved. Well worth the trip up.
