It was still there yesterday..... But nearly not !

We were sitting in the new cafe area inside the gorge when we heard this almighty bang, it sounded like a shotgun being fired (both barrels) and then it rained down a shower of small rocks. Some people got a bit panicky and left in a hurry, we stayed while waiting for our son and his gf to come back out of the gorge. The only thing we could think of is that the wall had been struck by lightning as there was a major storm there yesterday afternoon?
