Dental Implants Carried Out in Turkey
« Reply #20 on: February 08, 2013, 12:08:02 PM »
Hope it went well for you on Wednesday? Yesterday I had another 360 degree X-ray and today I went to have my stitches removed. Cagatay used this high definition X-ray to check to within a millimetre that the implant has remained in the right place, it had and so now I have to wait a couple of months to let the implants and bone to heal together. Then he will start perpetration work on the bridge which will now integrate the implants into the bridge. So feet up for me for eight weeks but not for Cagatay who gave me some very good news about his business today.

He has purchased the premises next door to him along with the premises beyond that and he is going to extend the practice and bring in a friend of his who attended the same dental university as he did, his friend is a fully qualified dental surgeon and specialises in gum disease and other surgical procedures. This means the range of services offered from the practice will increase and the facilities for his patients will also increase. The architect and interior designers are currently drawing up the final design, he showed me some of the ideas they have discussed and I promise you, they look absolutely fantastic.

You have to wish someone like him the best of luck with such a large financial investment, he has given fantastic service in the past and I'm sure that this will propel him to being recognised as one of the best dental practices in Turkey.

That's amazing George, you can relax for a while! Its great news about the business expansion, I'm not surprised, it's a terrific venture for him as well as his friend.  I am very impressed so far even though its just been solid drilling! I have another appointment in half an hour, more drilling, then not sure when the finish will be on the top bridge. I'm probably going to lose some weight too, getting fed up with omelettes / soup now!

Stage 2 carried out yesterday, a small surgical procedure to expose the implant, then an abutment is screwed into the implant and then stitched up. The gum will now heal around this abutment and leave the way clear to attach the tooth. 10 days to wait before I have the stitches removed

In the uk we both pay for Denplan on a monthly dd. What happens when you live there? Is there the same sort of thing available.

I,m glad your treatment is going to plan,i,m a bit phobic about dentists,so I,m thinking how brave you are!

I don't think there is anything here like Denplan, if there is then I'm sure others will comment. the SGK scheme covers emergency dental but I don't think anything like implants.

Believe me, I'm not brave, in fact I went to see Cagatay my dentist yesterday intending to discuss the time plan, the fact that I left with 15 stitches in my gum was a big surprise to me. As Chris said, at least I didn't have the time to worry about the treatment.

As far as being phobic, if it's pain that worries you then please believe me, there has been no pain whatsoever during my treatment

I have to agree George, there's no time to worry, he just gets right on with the work! It's great really, the first day I went I was comfy and casual thinking he'd just discuss things, ha! No chance. Honestly though he knows what he's  doing and it's the only way.

Your post regarding having dental implants at Catagay's was most informative.  And thanks to your post, my husband has started the process to have implants.  He hadn't been to the dentist for 25 years! We are very impressed with Catagay!  What you have stated in your post is spot on.  I am also having bridge work done to tidy my teeth up.  So thank you George, if my husband hadn't followed your post he would not have gone to the dentist!   :)

That's so good to hear Jan. I'm really glad your both happy with the Cagatay, just wait until you see the final result, I'm sure you will be absolutely delighted.

By the way, as a follow up to my post about the enlargement of the dental practice, Cagatay has now purchased the adjoining properties and work is well underway, it's going to be really impressive.
