Gemiler beach- disappointing
« on: May 30, 2013, 15:55:08 PM »
Made the trip here today and was sorry I did. It was not in the least what I expected. Very stoney beach and dangerously steep shelves in water. Motor boat with banana ride attached blaring out loud music from his sub woofer, spoiling the peace. Left after an hour and headed to Olu Deniz. :( :(

Oh Dear we were planning to go there when we are over later in the year, although we may alright in October, don't think there will be many people there then.

I can never remember which side the restaurant is that rips you off. So rather than find out, I go somewhere else instead.

The right side bar seems to be a rip off and harass people as soon as you come off dolmus. Left hand bar made no approach to public and 5TL for beer, 2 for large water, is fine. Just z shame about the not so peaceful atmosphere.

we walked there from Hisaronu a couple of years ago, we were not impressed and I doubt that we will ever go again to be honest!

Well there you go. We have always found it to be a most agreeable spot to relax and enjoy. A pretty drive over the scenic route from Fethiye through Kaya with the opportunity to eat there very decently or wait until what the cafe has to offer in light meals. The pine tree pollen problem must be long washed away. You do have to pay a small entrance fee.

What was it that caused them to leave, Sleuth?
