Monday there was a Rod Stewart tribute act on and a very good Turkish singer, at the end of the evening a collection was made for the Soma miners fund, the collection box was taken to Fetav to be unlocked and counted, a fantastic sum of 1090 tl.

I saw a post on Facebook where a woman had clearly thought it was the real Rod Stewart, in Calis Beach to do his bit for the miners' families.

Rod is singing again at Lees bar tomorrow night, this time to raise money for the 3Cs. It is free to attend but there will be a 3C's collecting bucket there for any loose change. It should be a great night
