Pick up at Dalaman - is this really an urban myth

Is it correct that if you are picking someone up at Dalaman airport, that you will not be charged the usual exorbitant car parking fees, in fact no fee at all providing you are in and out of the car park in 15 minutes?

Yes it's right, you have to park in an area just beside where the barriers are, then once you have picked up you drive out without having to go through the car park.

Well when I first heard this my reaction was the same as Laughing Boy, but Baz appears to confirm exactly what I heard from a couple of different people.  The outlaws are over next week, will give it a try when I go over to pick them up.

Good idea. If they are more than 15 minutes late you can drive home again and leave them to it.

Yes, it's on the left by the entrance barrier, I parked there last year for 30 mins plus and no one challenged ( I was sat in car) and the person I was collecting I had text to say turn left. Ideal if person arriving only has hand luggage but a pain if they have cases as it is a couple minute walk.
