Don't know about 2016 but we got a sweet deal from Thomas Cook for July in Fethiye this year. Full out and return from Bristol for Mrs TC and I including all the  usual extras for just over 450 quid.

Well pleased  :D :D

We got flights with T.Cook for September. Flying out was really good value around £100.00 each, flying back a different story.  It has cost us £750.00 for the flights and luggage.  This is a subcontracted flight with a Turkish Airline, so no choosing a seat, booking a meal or online check-in.
This is from Aberdeen.  We did try Glasgow in May and flew from there, but weighing up the costs to get there and back, it is no cheaper than flying from Aberdeen.

Edinburgh to Dalaman, via Istanbul, is currently from £196pp with THY during Sep/Oct with lots of availability at that price and at £239pp.  Not much use after 24th October as that's when they stop the two late evening Dalaman flights.

Extra couple of hours travel time but 23kg included and obviously all the other benefits of travelling scheduled as opposed to cattle charter.

So £239 each, then 2 1/2 hours drive to Edinburgh, pay for petrol then find somewhere to leave the car.
We did this from Glasgow, but coming back at 5.00am in the morning and driving home was no fun neither was being in the plane trying to sleep.
We will just bite the bullet and pay the extra, it is a catch 22 situation for us.
