Schweppes tonic is manufactured and distributed in Turkey by Coca Cola TR - they do not produce Slimline tonic.  The Schweppes tonic made in Turkey is loaded with sugar, almost double that of UK Schweppes tonic.

Most of the stuff you see locally will likely have come from Greece or Cyprus in someones boot or a suitcase - that said, there must be an independent importer somewhere as I've seen it in several bars in Istanbul.

Popped in today with the Memsahib and a Dutch friend. Very good selection but better is that the staff know their stuff! I needed a bottle of Scotch, (medicine but the NHS wont prescribe it for me  :) ), and they explained about the sugar content in different Raki (Memsahibs medicine) that I was unaware of. I too did a double take over the glass floor entrance but got used to it! Reasonable prices, incredible selection, hope they do well.
