Ordered a take away tonight. Phil collected it ready in 15 minutes, have to say after about two years of not usng this place, the takeway was really good, no complants at all, spot on tonight. Really enjoyed it.

Glad you finally got to try it Jaquie and even at 7 lira dearer it's still great value and well worth it.  ;)

Yes, we had an old out of date menu which would have made it around 40 odd lira. but it was 60 odd lira. (cannot remember the exact amount) However, no complaints, we are getting a lot more Lira for our Sterling now.  Meal was lovely and we will use them again.

Makes no difference at all how many Lira you get for a pound, that's still a 50% increase.
It really makes me angry when you question an increase in price only to be told well you do get a lot more lira to the pound now. Shouldn't make any difference, if an article is 10tl, then it's 10tl irrespective of what you get to the pound.
I wonder if these increases will be reversed when the lira drops? somehow I doubt it.

Quite often rents are paid in pounds so a business owner will need to increase the TL price and I assume that Shanghai Blues imports a lot of their goods/spices so that sill also affect the price.

Same as the increase in insurance, electricity, tax, etc.
