Booking flights in Turkey
« on: July 12, 2016, 09:04:45 AM »
Spoke to a few people over the years who have booked one way from the UK and then booked there flights back while over in Calis, as the cost of the return flights is over £200 (August) booked in the UK could this make it cheaper if booked in Turkey

Spent ages trying to find a cheap flight for someone that did that in August. They didnt manage it. I think that only works outside school holidays. I would go with trying to get a good deal here.

I did that a number of years ago & it worked for me then, but there was a bit more choice of airlines in those days; Excel, CTA, H4U (Onur Air) & Goldtrail were all still about. Also, I was flexible, both on date & arrival airport, which helped.

We always booked one way to fly to Turkey and then booked return flight while there. It worked for us, but we were flexible. Martin would always find the best deal. We loved flying via Istanbul both ways too.

It's usually cheaper to fly back from Antalya, if you don't mind the journey getting there

Just for everyones info I was told before by someone who used to work doing travel insurance, in the small print on most policies it says if you have not booked a return flight before departure in uk and if you need medical trestment whilst away then the policy will not be valid, i cant remember though what the reason behind this is!
