Christmas Prezzies?
« on: November 14, 2017, 12:21:28 PM »
Every year around this time, my family and friends ask me what I want for Christmas. This year I don't want or need anything,  (It's enough that my daughter and her Australian boyfriend are 'home' for Christmas) So I have asked them to spend whatever money they were going to spend on me on supermarket groceries and put them into a local food bank.
I am not trying to 'Big Myself up' by telling you this, I just wondered if anyone else is willing to do this. Every time I go to the shops I see that the price of my basic shop has gone up, and I know that there are hard-working families and pensioners who are struggling, so this is my way of self-gifting, and easing my conscience that I have every thing that I need.

That's a good idea Bernie. Hilary and I swap donations to each other's favourite charities with my brother and his wife. Which reminds me that is about time we nominated this year's charity.
