also when you go don't forget to take plenty of water with you. It gets extremely hot and the prices at Ephassus are highly inflated.

Ephesus is absolutely fantastic,  any time of the year.  We have been in May (fantastic), June (a furnace!) and October (quiet).  We then drive to Pammakale and spent a night in a spa hotel and swim amongst the ruins of the Royal Bath.  It really is a beautiful trip.  Enjoy it (you'll be all 'cultured out' at the end of it though !!).  Pack the Efes and Water as prices around the sites are expensive. :)

We went in October last year and it was lovely and quiet. You could have a wonder around and this time of year you can be alone and your imagination really starts to run wild with how living back then might have been like. We also took in Pammukale but we were slightly disapointed as the natural beauty you see in the books doesn't really reflect in reality. Never the less, overall it's a wonderful experience.
