Great atmosphere at Murrayfield and perfect conditions for an exciting match. I had a grand day.

Wales 23 Ireland 16
Wow! Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. What a game! The Scott Williams try shows just how fast players at this level think. Your opponent starts to take half a step to right and you are straight through on his left in a flash. Very similar to the Jonathan Davis try against Scotland.

Now on to England v Scotland. Best of luck Scotland - you'll need it.

England beat Scotland ,22-15 to go top of the six nations,
after a slow start, and a gutsy show from the scots.
it will be a realy interesting finish, with 3 teams on the same points. ;D ;D ;D :'(

What a day !!!!!

Congratulations to Ireland, hard luck England (I suppose  ;) but a huge, big thank you to Wales for the finest 40 minutes of attacking rugby that was an absolute privilege to watch.

As for France I cannot bring myself to congratulate them for running the ball after time was up

I have no comment on Scotland due to the Forum's bad language rules.

It's interesting that the pursuit of points resulted in such a different approach to playing methods. I agree that it was a fantastic Saturday and felt the game itself was the ultimate winner.

Yes I thought that too. I wonder if football would be a better game if the whole league was decided on how many goals a team scored throughout the season  :)

He's been working very hard recently, you know. Just let him sit quietly in the corner for a while until he is feeling better.

Another amazing transformation last week was the Wales v Ireland game. Wales gave away a hatful of penalties in the first half until the referee was exasperated, sent one person off, and made it very clear he would send off as many as committed fouls if this carried on. In the second half the Irish launched the greatest sustained attack only yards from the Welsh line that went through 34 rebutted phases - and not a single penalty conceded by Wales. In the end it was the Irish who were penalized.

Why isn't that sort a discipline standard for each match? The opposition would only need kickers for conversions and the occasional drop goal.
