You can use any electrician Ian, just make sure they "connect" the wires properly as opposed to twisting them together wrapped in tape as I found at 1 friends recently!

Bayram (0535.239.2334) is a brilliant electrician & very nice guy, speaks a bit of English, prompt & relatively inexpensive.

This is the type of one i bought in Fethiye - different brand but identical.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/AWUSO36NH-Wireless-Long-Rang-Network-Adapter/dp/B003YLF0N4/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1327954396&sr=8-7

i have the router set up in attic room and with this gizmo on the laptop get a full signal all round the house, without it i can only get 10-20% signal.
