Yes? Tell us about it then :)
We have had to change from our traditional October to July this time. After great consideration we decided not to book our beloved Delta hotel as we will struggle without a pool at that time of year.
We value being on the prom so have paid a deposit on the Area Hotel which we understand is clean/basic which is fine with us. It also has a really pleasant pool yards from the seafront.
-
We are flying out on May 18th to check on how builders are getting on with tiling etc :)
-
Sure have - early June for us.
Ian
-
April for us :)
-
May for me. First time at The Delta.
-
Not going out in June as we normally do, as Alison and I are off to Thailand for 2 weeks in March. Hoping to get to Calis for a break in September instead, but still not booked yet.
-
Hopefully May 31 to July 5th but not booked yet.
-
We fly out on June 1 st for 17 nights with monarch from Gatwick on a early bird excellent deal booked in July , staying at our favourite Oykun Hotel who have again no price increase.
Cant wait for our Calis chill out 8) :D
-
Going over in April (10 days), May/June (17 days) and Sept/Oct (3 weeks) so far. Cant wait to get back.
-
We are booked for 12th may 10 nights, normally stay in one of the hotels on the front but have opted for the Kaan hotel this time and if it's any good will probably use it again in September
-
Are the prices still good for the Kaan Chris? They were amazing when I looked a few months back. Some people swear by it.
It always looked clean and bright whenever I passed it.
-
So far.... two visits booked.
1 week (needs must) end March to early April.
38 days (7th May till 14th June)
Dave :)
-
Yep. Mid June with Monarch ex Leeds and a good price as we booked in October. We will be out in September too but not booked yet. 24 weeks to wait :(
-

I was informed today that jet 2 are starting flights in July from Stanstead to Dalaman with the hope of increasing 2018 depending on demand.

All being well we have April, June, end of Aug booked fingers crossed as we have some health things going on that we will still be going...i do hope we are...July and Aug are too hot but right now I would love to be laying at Guvens with a cold drink in my hand and saying IT's TOOOOO HOT!
-
May to July at moment and possibly fortnight in September.
-
Caretta first 2 weeks in May
-
Caretta is often No.1 on T.A. Beating all the Hotels in Fethiye, Oludeniz etc., It always gets great feedback and I often note people saying they have tried to book and had no luck as it gets booked up a long time in advance. Good to read this about a place in Calis. I believe it is run by a Doctor and his wife.
-
I'm out for 2 weeks from 10th Feb, 6 weeks from 6th May and 6 weeks from 5th Sept. Missus will join me for a couple of weeks in both May and Sept.
-

. Yes prices still look amazing, I've just booked another 10 nights in September £10 per night for 2 bed&breakfast. I haven't stayed there yet but loads of positive reviews on various sites. If we don't like it when we stay in May I will change hotels with sunshine.
-
I have flight booked for April 14th - but this is with Thomas Cook, so it's anyone's guess which day I will actually fly !
-
Just booked 3wks today Jan 31st onward and hospital check ups apart (better half having survived big C scare)will hopefully get back for 6/8 wks Apr/June and then same Sept/Oct.

-
We are booked for just over three weeks from Mid May, usually do the end of the year but nothing booked yet.
-
3 visits for us - may , July & October can't come soon enough
-
We have - six of us: myself, hubby, mum, dad, son and his girlfriend. Our son's girlfriend has never been to Turkey before so we are hoping she loves it as much as we all do. We've booked for a fortnight, flying out on the 27th July 2017 and staying in a villa in Koca Calis.
-
We have pencilled in 5th July for a couple of weeks but not booked yet.
-
Hi Keith...........we booked 2 weeks in the Oykun from 3 July next year before you recommended the Delta hotel. We'll call in at the Delta in July and ask Sue if we can look around with a view to booking there later in the season. Best wishes for New Year. :)
-
Keith, you don't have to ask me lol.

Same to you Dennis. Might see you around in July.
We had two holidays at the Oykun and really liked it. I think in July the Oykun trumps the Delta because a pool is a necessity in those temperatures.
-
Expecting to come out mid May for about 5 weeks. The damper on it is that Monarch are not flying from B'ham until the 20th, with high prices then, so may have to delay...
-
Booked the first 2 of my 4 visits this year. Seem to be less flights this year but until I get I get told by the Foriegn Office not to visit I will carry on.
-
Definately won't be out in 2017... We have 2 holidays booked for March and June but this year as Barrie is 65 and it is our 45th Wedding Anniversary so have decided on something special for September/October..
-
Myself & the wife Plan to drive over on the 7th April hoping to arrive around the 10th/11th for good :) inlaws looking to join us in September, retire (I'm 48 currently) from work on the 16th March, Cant wait.

3 bookings made - April, June/July and September for us. Can't wait to come back!
-
We have a duplex Apt there......Mid March to mid June... then early September to end of November... as long as we can fly there... wild horses wont stop us :-)
-
Sleuth do you mind me asking do you have residency to be able to have both your stays or by vacating Turkey from mid June to early September does this work re the 90 day on a visa...im being a tad lazy by asking you and not doing my own counting up on a calender!
-
We are coming out for 2 weeks from mid May & again 2 weeks from mid September. Would love to come out more but pesky work gets in the way! :/
-
June 16 nights followed by August/Sept 22 nights; happy days assuming things settle down a bit.
-
Karrerina... we held a 5 year residency permit that ends this month...up til then we have been visiting Turkey 7 months a year .. now we have decided at least for 2017 to do the 90 days in 90 days out visitors permit... at least we can holiday insurance for those periods.. and still have no probs with NHS in the UK .. we like the both homes.. :-)
-
Thank you Sleuth I really need to get counting and see if the 90 day thing will work for us, i get a tad confused with it all! We are like you we like the both homes thingy! :)
-
Yes.
-
And me
-
Booked 3 flights for this year April, June & September Roll on April!!!
-
Just booked to stay at Oykun for 11 nights in September......
-
Yes we are coming out 3rd may for 14 nights and again oct 7th 14 nights staying at poppy apartments.....already counting down the days
-
Yes.
Jet2 flights approximately 30 % more expensive than Thomas Cook.
Just saying
-
30% less leg room. Less luggage allowance. Oh and they took 3 million pounds from the deaths of 2 children in one if their apartments.. That TC.for you.. just saying...
-
And abysmal flight times by comparison to Jet2.
-
Horrible, horrible company.
JF
-
mercury - 30% less leg room - agreed but does affect vertically challenged people :)
- less luggage - agreed but I can struggle along with 2kg less
- 3 million point taken
scunner - flight times within 15 minutes of each other.
-
Sleuth - my understanding of the new visas are that from the date you arrive in Turkey they count back 180 days and if you have been in the country for 90 days during that period you are not allowed to enter. Also when you leave if you exceed the 90 days in the last 180 you get fined. I realise you haven't given the actual travel dates and you may be ok but it is worth checking. My understanding may be wrong and if so perhaps someone can enlighten as to the correct way to work it out.
-
Phil, we are within the the new regulations... we arrive March 15th until June 10th ( 88/89 days ) we come back to Turkey September 8th for a further 88 days.
We can both get holiday insurance covering those periods at reasonable cost so that suits us
Thats us for 2017 .. God willing
Beyond that ? we will see how things pan out : :) ;)

Here is what the Turkish Prime Minister has to say about taking your holiday in Turkey this year,

He has got a point. I work in London and there is always the thought it is just as likely to happen to me on my to or from.

Six weeks booked. Can't wait :)
-
I am in Calis now. My current visa will cover a 6 week holiday in May/June then expire early August. Am I able to then get a new visa for a holiday in Sept/Oct? I will have used 56 of the 90 days available on my current visa.
-
Happy New Year to All. Yep we have booked for June and again going to The Club E we went last year for the first time its an excellent hotel and a good location. Would recommend.
-
Yes all booked for a nice long break ....can't wait
-
Staying at the Delta from 9th May for 10 days.
For the first time in 15 years (previously with family and friends), I'm travelling alone for a "well earned break".
Happy to join any CBF member(s) for a beer (or two) if you're around.
Would be nice to have some company on the odd occasion.
-
Yes you can Kenkay i look at the visa as just making me legal during my stay in Turkey. You can have visas overlapping if need be, if one is going to expire whilst in Turkey you can purchase the second one to exit on but are meant to get the new validated on entry to Turkey, it is defienetly all about not exceeding the 90 days out of 180 days...
Sleuth that is a great idea I had not thought of doing that rather then go down the residency route, I thought in the beginning of the new visa rules that once you had taken 90 days you had to vacate Turkey for 180 days but it is only 90.... Bit late for us this year but I shall bear this in mind for next year... :)
-
Thanks Karennina. I thought I could but that post by Phil threw me.
-
Yes! All booked for our usual three weeks in May/June. Not sure yet about September
-
We are having to miss our traditional October visit this year and can only do July which is all booked. It's been quite some time since we've been in the heat of summer - I can find October too hot at times these days :o
-
More cool boat trips then ;D ;D 8) 8)
-
booked for the 19th of May till the 29 of May, now looking at flights around the 26-28 of August till 9-11th of September but looking quite expensive at the moment
-
15 days in June. 1st time back after 2 years. We can't wait. Is the Guitar Bar still there? A serious chill out place after a nice evening meal.
-
No, Guitar Bar, They sold up to another guy and it is not the same now. We did not bother going once we took a look. Shame, we used to like that place.
On the bright side, you may be there in June for Rod Stewart.
-
I went to the Guitar Bar twice. First time it was too early and it wasn't open. Didn't make the same mistake twice though. The next time we went it was too late - it had closed.
-
The "Goldilocks" Bar then.
-
Well this will be the first time in 10 years we wont be going across, Apt sold so will be trying elsewhere but will be back next year.
-
tried what used to be the Guitar bar in September; the area is now two bars and overpriced for what is now offered. Believe the original guitarist and partner moved to Hisaronu last year but not heard whether they were successful or not in their new venture. Could always come back to Calis...
-
Will be in Calis for a few days staying at the Nevada Hotel in mid March, will there be anywhere open for a meal/drink in the evening at that time of year. Do have half board at the hotel, but would be nice to go out somewhere local for a drink etc,

-
There's more than enough places open, dont worry
