New free outdoor swimming pool now opened in the centre of Hisaronu. Its immediately opposite ASDA and below the Zombie Bar ( now yet another `Talk of the Town` )
In late June ..July and August just watch all the late night `pi**heads` drunks, swill and swim about in it and litter it with beer cans etc...
Who`s stupid , idiotic , brain dead idea was it to build that there !! ???? what a waste of money... money which could have been better spent with maybe `tidying` up some of the scruffy areas around Hisaronu .
Words fail me trying to understand the `turkish logic `

I think its more of a water feature.

I agree with Tiggsy. It is a water feature. It's up to the authorities to stop the 'perceived usage' Sleuth envisages just like they would do at the "features" in Fethiye.
I can see where Sleuth is coming from but you'd hope that things are changing with the new council that they feel they can add features like these, and that they will work. If not, then they have to have a plan to make them work.

Please give me a bit of credit :-) I am fully aware its a `water feature` :-) my point being... features like that that work in Fethiye as there are no late night drunks around who will desicrate it by swimming and frolicking in it with their beer cans etc... during the hot evenings... right smack in the middle of Hisaronu . Who is going to enforce that that wont happen ? no one. Who`will be around at `daft o`clock` to monitor it ? no one.

Didn't see anyone peeing in the baths, lobbing in beer cans, bombing, non swimmers in the deep end, and certainly no petting or smoking going on. ;) Looks a lot better than the old banks of public payphones, and if I am honest the Lady Boys/Men were getting more attention than the baths themselves. : :) Still time will tell.
Listen out for council announcement of an extension to be built in the winter for a set of Public Slipper Baths (go on youngsters look that up on google!!) ;D ;D

I hope none of the above happens, it was just being finished when we were over in April, it looks lovely there, and I agree a million times better than those phones.

Looks pretty clean and lout free to me, and no sign of a beer can, fag end or dog turd. Perhaps the people responsible for Calis beach should take note.

just wait til the REALLY hot July / August evenings.... when its largely a different set of visitors to the May / October ones.. I think you know what I mean :o
