Fenerbache vs Arsenal
« on: August 21, 2013, 17:23:39 PM »
Should be a good game to watch this evening - and indeed next Tuesday's second leg at the Emirates - especially as Arsenal are coming off the back of a humiliating defeat on Saturday against the Villa (no not my villa Aston Villa!!).  The arsenal squad is wafer thin at the moment, a combination of injuries and Wenger not spending (again season 3 when he has had the cash).  So here's to a dogged Arsenal performance tonight, and a nice early goal from Giroud to quieten the crowd ... come on you Gunners.  ;)  :) :D ;D

A very pleasing result tonight, even if Fenerbache did look poor.  Tricky early game on Saturday against Fulham, then second leg against Fenerbache on Tuesday followed by the do or die derby against the Spuds, now that's a proper game and so I hope Wenger has made most of his buys by then, as we will need a proper squad of players for that game.

And as Scunner observes above.... Wenger Out...... Can't think where he picked that up from!!

Surely Wegner's buys, if he makes any, will be a hit or miss success for the Spurs game. Could they really be classified as part of a "proper squad" after 10 days (or less).

Fenerbache were unbelievably poor at times. Well done Arsenal should be ok for the return leg.

Problem is H we are looking desperate for just cover with all the injuries alone.  So bodies and hopefully good, experienced bodies at that would be most welcome...

Really terrible match Fenerbache where so poor.  I was disappointed as I had read they were a good team.
Match was a walk over and got really boring.  Arsenal will have no trouble next week...
