iPhone iMessage problem
« on: August 04, 2020, 20:31:38 PM »
Right so tried Apple support who aren’t really supporting at present so here’s my problem.
Got an iPhone 7 I was with one carrier on number A,changed carrier gave the Pac code got new sim with number B and within 48hrs number A ported over.
All calls made and received on number A.Apple account and ID show number A as my only number.
However iMessage and FaceTime show number B with no way of adding number A or removing B.
Rebooted, changed password, switched iMessage and FaceTime off then on again,as per Apple support.Even tried to de register number B but not receiving the text from Apple with the necessary code.
HELP ME PLEASE TECHIES

When I say settings on the app . That’s settings for iPhone then scroll down to FaceTime then it will display the phone no and emails that you can be contacted by

Thanks Steve I have done all that and didn’t work. However since been in touch with Apple who sorted it in 30 secs.Settings-Phone-change number to the one you want use,in this case it was showing the SIM card number not the ported number.Delete wrong number, enter correct number, reboot and sorted.
Thanks all
