It was sad to see Liverpool beaten again today second from bottom as a fulham I cant believe whats happening to this great club, and to lose to everton well.
-
It's a bit controversial, but I have a real feeling that the players welcomed the off-field chaos as an excuse to not bother performing. I hope I am wrong but to me that is the problem. How else can such a group be 2nd bottom?
No distractions now, it's time to earn your fortunes.
-
I don't understand. Apart from Konchesky and Lucus, the starting eleven are all seasoned international players who surely must know what the Merseyside derby means to the fans.
Given that, and the vast sums of money they earn, then to turn in such a lacklustre performance is shameful.
-
We were beaten by a better team, dont know what match Roy was at to give that interview at the end, for me, Gerrard, Carra and Reinna were the only ones to turn up today, and why Lucas was playing beats me,the club needs a huge shake up and Roy needs to put an attacking side out, I have never known a Liverpool side like this, I should be out now absolutely pi$$ed, so look on the bright side, saved me a few bob and a huge hangover. ;) YNWA.

I did say a year ago that I had no idea why Lucas gets to play for Liverpool - he's a very lucky boy because he would struggle to hold down a place in the Northampton or Port Vale teams. Roy needs a chance to make his stamp on the team but to be honest I don't rate him and never have. I see him as a very lucky manager indeed and no more. My feeling is similar to the Souness days, where Liverpool brought in so many players quite obviously not in the Anfield mould.
-
I agree, and I dont think O.Neil is the answer either, he is too quick to do one when there is a problem, but something needs to be done and very soon,
-
Agreed - to be honest I think the best man for the job might well be the one you just let go :-\

Totally agree. It's a shame they cant have their money withheld for being a set of divas!
Like I said on F.B, Shanks, Paisley and Fagan will be spinning at how this shower of sh1t have been performing!

Even Joe is trying to get a few points.. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3184044/Liverpoool-and-England-footballer-Joe-Cole-will-not-appeal-against-driving-ban.html

I've said this on FB but there is only one way out now for Liverpool and that is to get back to the "old boot room days". For me there is only one man out there who can do this and that is Phil Thomson with Sammy Lee as his right hand man. Mind you, not till next season please so City have a chance of some silverware ;)

I didn't hear the interview until the following day and wondered if I had fallen asleep and dreamed the match. Liverpool were hopeless and Roy needs to get his feet on the ground and accept reality.
-
3 wins on the trot roys got them on the way up.
-
Really? For me Gerrard got them on the way up last night, without him we saw how clueless Liverpool can be, second string players or not.
-
Sunday will see if they are on their way back
-
u might be in for a surprize tinkerman,as they were far superior to u
be fore the russians took over and u got rid of the best manager in

-
Well they're definately getting a few wins under their belts!

Have a look at the premiership the year before the Russian took over

All we can hope for on Sunday is Torres to find the back of the net and Stevie to stay on form, but to be honest, I still dont think we are playing up to a decent standard to get 3 points at the bridge, unless Wooney can pop down and give Woy a hand. but never say never eh Tinx.

Hard Luck Andy..... and G.B. I really enjoy a chuckle about football so am now really chuckling.
Liverpool had a great win, congratulations to them, totally deserved. They made the win over the Champions look easy, even when Chelsea brought on their big guns they were still no match for Liverpool.
-
It was a great win JH with two sensational goals from Tores who showed what a class act he is.
But "easy". You must have been watching a different second half than I was which was anything but easy IMO.
-
Told you Tinx, never say never, YESSSSSSSSSS.
YNWA. ;)[^]

They went out to defend a two goal lead in the second half, with the chance of taking another goal if offered. They did miss two good chances. Did you expect them to attack? This is what is called strategy "H". :P
-
Thanks for the explanation Jacqui but, believe it or not, I did understand LIverpool's second half strategy or as we like to call it up here in the North, tactics. ;)
Whether it was strategy or tactics, I would still xontent that it was anything but "easy" :).

I told you old turkey neck was the man for the job at Anfield!!!
Great to see Liverpool beating the top teams again (especially Chelski) and the man is back - if you have to pick your best 4-4-2 and Torres isn't one of your two then you probably don't know your football.

Totally agree Scunner, however "Old Turkey Neck" as you call him, does have a good head of hair, some people could be jealous of that:P:D
