One thing to also consider when deciding whether Rooney should be taken. What contribution has this World class striker made for England at any of the recent Finals he has attended. I'm struggling to think of any answer other than NONE.

I'd rather have Rooney in the squad than a player who has little or no International experience & even less at Preniership experience(Walcott ala Sven), but I wouldn't mind betting that Mr Charisma will surprise us all with his selection(Probably Oxlaine -  Chamberlain)?

At least Oxlaine-Chamberlain would appreciate being there if he were to go! Rooney thinks it's his God given right to be there.
