Title: What does it all mean ?

I'm no expert on national finances. The terms 'the monetary policy rate', 'fiscal policy', 'contracting domestic demand', 'rollover ratio' etc mean zilch to me.

So, now that Turkey has accepted deivery of the Russian missiles and has been expelled from the F-35 fighter programme, how's it going to effect your average 'Mehmet in the street' ?

Anyone care to explain in terms that old codgers like me can understand ?
