Post by: grizabella on November 16, 2015, 15:48:27 PM: Found this amazing shop the other day.The young girl Ümit Düzen makes the ceramics there and they are so different to anything I have ever seen in Turkey.Prices are very reasonable too.She is situated on the Gunlukbaşı Road,right hand side going into Fethiye.She has some of her works hanging outside her workshop but these really dont do her work any justice.Inside is a treasure trove of her work.If you are looking for something different to give as a gift this festive season or just treat yourself I would reccommend a visit to her workshop.I bought a wonderful siamese wall plaque and at 30tl well worth the price.

We passed on our last visit but it was closed and I never did get back to buy some

Walking though I don't think you'd miss it Bernie as the ceramic owls hanging on the wire mesh were stunning!!

If you go from the Üzümlü junction ( where the police station is ) towards Fethiye the shop is located on the right hand side where all the lined-up small shops are about to end.

Post by: hubblebubbles on November 26, 2015, 14:27:57 PM: Very frustrating as I have been there twice and each time closed .Tried ringing her telephone number as well for ages while I waited outside but engaged all the time so gave up. Maybe third time lucky .
