What a laugh my colleagues had at this.One of the departments I worked in,when I was a detective,had the use of an unmarked motorcycle for observation purposes.There was only one person in the squad licensed to drive it and he was told if the miles weren't run up on it,the bike would be handed over to the road treffic department.So,we took off on it one day and I was the pillion passenger.Belting along the motorway,I could detect a burning smell.I assumed it was coming from the motorbike as it had not been used for a long time.We exited the motorway to continue along the Clyde Valley and decided to have a rest in a layby with beautiful views.I dismounted and found that I was walking oddly.I looked at my shoes and found that the heels had melted.I had been sitting on the motorbike with my heels on the twin exhausts
.Back at the office,after changing my shoes of course,I was the centre for jokes
